Valve Foundries

Valve Foundries

Valve Foundries

(OP)
Is anyone willing to share the names of foundries that they know to produce quality valve body castings?

WCB, CF8M and A395.

USA only please.

RE: Valve Foundries

Not from USA but AMPO from Spain is one of the best serving to big manufacturers as well

RE: Valve Foundries

A crying shame that large valve manufacturers such as Crane are no longer in the US.  Thanks in part to the US EPA and OSHA, clean air and water regulations,  minimum wages, worker's comp regs, Unions absurd wage demands, etc...
Now the US is at the mercy of foreign countries.  A CRYING shame.

RE: Valve Foundries

I can help you with WCB and CF8M but I don't know of any that make cast Iron as well.

RE: Valve Foundries

I can advise you for only cast/ductile iron casting is MIV, The biggest foundry in whole Europe for cast/ductile iron valves production located in Croatia, they have big foundries there.
website: www.miv.hr

Also if you like to know more about CI/DI/Alum. in world you can visit this web :  www.castingarea.com

Bob, thanks, and I will appreciate any information that you can provide on the wcb and cf8m.

Baram & Valving: I will look into the offshore but my client is a smaller manufacturer and will mostly need smaller quantities and good delivery. The transit time can be a problem offshore. Also it is more difficult to coordinate with a foundry that far away.

RE: Valve Foundries

YBM, you might also want to check goodwin foundry in UK, very old very good company

RE: Valve Foundries

There's one in Muskogee, OK (or used to be).  I think it's named "American Foundry".  I know they do/did WCB valve bodies.

Thanks to all for your information.

RE: Valve Foundries

Hopefully this is helpful.  I looked in the latest copy of valve magazine and found 3 advetisements for foundries who have experience in valve castings.  All are well known in the industry.

Matrix Metals / Keokuk Steel Castings (www.matrixmetals.com)
Highland Foundry (www.highlandfoundry.com)

RE: Valve Foundries

You may find the US foundry listed is just a warehouse for holding Chinese castings.
