Abaqus 2d model 'visualiztation' problem

Abaqus 2d model 'visualiztation' problem

Abaqus 2d model 'visualiztation' problem

(OP)
Dear colleagues

I have successfully completed a 'job' in the analysis section and now attempting to plot some results using x-y data. However every time I attempt to create 'XY data' using ODB history output the history output dialog box list is appears empty. I'm new to the software & cannot work out where I've gone wrong?. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Luigi

Select field output

RE: Abaqus 2d model 'visualiztation' problem

Yeah, you have no ODB history output, or have not told the software what you want to extract from your model.

so, go to the step module, and go to field output manager, or history output manager. these are buttons to the left of the viewport window (sounds like you may have assigned  a crack in your model, and want to extract stress intensity values?)

and tell abaqus what you want to output, such as forces/reactions,or stresses or strains, etc. click dismiss then run the job again.

Dont click on every output under the sun!! your job may abort due to many outputs unable to be calculated.

Hope this helps.
