"Cannot Access File" error message.

"Cannot Access File" error message.

"Cannot Access File" error message.

We are getting this error message on a regular basis, mostly when saving a draft.
We use ST4 MP2 (64-bit) on Windows 7 Pro SP1
This was also occurring at a previous company using ST3 on Windows 7.

I have found that doing something simple like placing a dimension after I get the message seems to clear it and allows a save.

Does anyone else get this message?

I get this if I have my cloud backup software (Syncplicity) running which backs up continually. I MUST pause the backup when usuing SE otherwise I'll get this message if I try to save whilst it is uploading a previous version.  Could be some a network thing.

A network issue is suspected but its strange to get the same error message at 2 different companies.

Just read the ST4 MP3 release notes and there is a "PR6405597 File cannot be saved if disconnected/reconnected to the network".

Hopefully this issue is now solved.
