SWGR Control Circuits

SWGR Control Circuits

(OP)
I am involved with the designing phase of tripping and closing control circuits for a vintage switchgear. Does anybody has access to any good book or white paper that describes in detail the control circuits for the switchgear? Thanks

RE: SWGR Control Circuits

You might have a look for the 2-book set 'The Switchgear Handbook' which was published by Pitman for Metropolitan Vickers. Long out of print, it is a useful reference for anyone working with old legacy installations as well as an interesting insight to what was state-of-the-art sixty or seventy years ago. They turn up on ebay and Amazon now and then, and still command a decent price.

What switchgear model?

The SWGR is manufactured around 1948-55 and it is identified as vintage 23-breaker GE MagneBlast lineup.

Thank you very much for your help.

RE: SWGR Control Circuits

I have all of the wiring diagrams for those as well, we build custom matching line ups for Magneblast all the time.

I am a little confused as to what you are doing though.

Thank you Zogzog for the response. However, I have to show in the contract drawings the control schematics for the main and feeder breakers and send them for approval.

RE: SWGR Control Circuits

Are you redesigning the control scheme or something? If it is existing gear it already has a wiring diagram, not following you.
