Hey there,

I'm simulating a rolling process of steel bars. I want to accelerate my simulation by detecting a steady state during the rolling process and then extracting the geometry (plane) where steady-state was detected to a 2-dimensional part to do further analysis.
I wrote a small script where I detect the values of the coordinates of the nodes of interest and the connectivities of the elements containing those nodes. But as I'm still pretty new to scripting unfortunately the nodes detected are not always on the same (correct) plane.
I'm thankful for every piece ofadvice!

Thanx
T
