Siemens ps2?

Siemens ps2?

Siemens ps2?

How do I communicate with this thing with my hart 475 communicator? Please help!

RE: Siemens ps2?

Like you do with any transmitter, assuming it is HART, but do not power the PS2 with a 24Vdc power supply, power it with 4-20mA loop simulator.

Install the PS2 HART DD in the handheld.

If Rosemount doesn't have it, the PS2 positioner's DD file for the 375 is here:

http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&siteid=cseus&aktprim=0&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW&objid=42086580&treeLang=en

Note that the outlined download is for the 375.

Power the positioner with a 4-20mA loop power simulator, NOT a 24Vdc power supply.

The PS2 has more than 250 ohms inptu resistance so the handheld will read it by attaching the leads on the PS2's analog input.

How do I get the ps2 hart DD from online to on my hand held?

RE: Siemens ps2?

I don't have access to one, so I don't know.  You'll have to get the 475 documentation and figure it out, unless someone else pops up.
