Combining Multiple WWR
Combining Multiple WWR
(OP)
Question:
Is there a code limitation on how many Welded Wire Meshes can be combined together to attain required Moment Strength in a wall in single layer?
Example Discussion
If moment strength of a welded mesh required is 0.15 sq. in
Combing 3 layers of welded wire meshes 12x12 W5/W5 will = 3 * .05 sq. in = 0.15 sq. in of required strength in given direction. But is it permitted to combine 3 meshes together in a single layer?

RE: Combining Multiple WWR
Is there a reason you don't want to use standard deformed reinforcing bars? I would use #4's at 12" to get your required steel. It might even be cheaper.

Notice that this will be a vertical wall application. For such application, what other problems can you possibly think of?
