Hygroscopic materials may blind filter bags. Humidity and condensation from steam or water vapor may blind filter bags. Sticky material may adhere to filter bags and plug passages. Where air temperatures exceed 180°F, the options for filter fabrics are somewhat limited.
Methods of waste disposal may impact your decision. Dry materials from filter bags can create secondary dust problems during unloading and disposal that do not occur with wet collectors. Disposal of wet sludge can be an additional problem.
