Solving Warping Function with FEM

Solving Warping Function with FEM

(OP)
Hello,

I am trying to solve for the warping displacements (and then the torsional shear stresses) of an arbitray prismatic beam using my own FE code with 2D triangles. I am baseing my approach on "A Finite Element Solution for Saint-Venant Torsion" by Krahula. I have succesfully calculated the torsional shear stresses using the prandtl stress function approach with my FE code but I cannot seem to make the warping displacement method work. If anyone has had luck doing this I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

Thanks!
Erik
