To use $G and $L, you must use the blockfont font file that John provided in the thread you linked to. If you recently upgraded to NX7.5, you'll probably have to reinstall John's version of the font.

Yeah cowski, I did download the file again before posting this, and it was not working. I had the file saved as blockfont-1 and I only got the empty squares...until I renamed it to blockfont (without the -1) and now all is well. In fact, I show a blockfont_v1 and blockfont_v2 and both those work too!

Oh well, just trying to keep up my record of lame posts I guess!

Thanks for causing me to rename the file...assuming that did it.
