Solidworks World 2012

Solidworks World 2012

(OP)
For the first time in my life, a company is letting me go to Solidworks World. I almost fainted when they said I could go.

So...who's all going?

A No Go for me... again.  Sheesh, you figure after 13yrs and 4 different employers I'd find one that would let me attend.  My best bet is to wait for it to roll through Orlando again.

Again for me, can't go.
Two years ago being in Anaheim I couldn't go, boss said no (I'm just a few miles from there). Ugh!
Although I did get to meet some of the guys and the free exhibits thanks to Matt (fsuper).

I won't be there this year, but for a great reason: I got custody of my sons. thumbsup

RE: Solidworks World 2012

Congradulations to Chris (macduff) for being able to make it
and to Jeff Mirsola for getting the kids.

I Won't be going either this year sad but had a good time at the 2008 SWW which was in San Diego and 2010 in Anaheim. Hope all of you who have a chance to go this year have a great time and learn new techniques.

I got to meet Chris ctopher at the meet/tweet up in 2008. It's one thing to swap posts online but it's nice to see the people who post all the great tips from this and and other forums in person.

Usually ost of the material from the SolidWorks World presentations Videos and Powerpoints get posted online sometime later in the year. I saw a lot of last years presentations this way because I was unable to go.

RE: Solidworks World 2012

I wasn't at the SWW 2008 in San Diego.
I was at the free booths in Anaheim 2010 and meet/tweet one night at the House of Blues.

RE: Solidworks World 2012

Yeah Chris it was at the House of Blues in 2010 that I met you, my mistake.

Should have remembered cause you live in Anaheim.

Hopefully you can convince your boss to let you go next time it's nearby. I'm sure you'll be able to get at least a touch of the experience again this year.

Michael

RE: Solidworks World 2012

No go this year. We are starting a new major project, he won't let me go. Unless something changes last minute.
I don't know where it will be next year.

RE: Solidworks World 2012

I can't make it either.  I just don't have the time to split for a week.  Also, could they pick a more inconvenient date.  Sheesh.  I have a hard enough time staying out of the doghouse.
