Purgeless Electrode

Purgeless Electrode

Purgeless Electrode

(OP)
Hi.
I searched Google for the phrase "Purgeless Electrode" but I didn't find anything useful about it, I want to know the definition and applications of the "Purgeless Electrode".
Thank you for your help.

RE: Purgeless Electrode

Any marketeer making up and then using a term like 'purgeless' should be resisted strongly.  But let me know what you discover.

RE: Purgeless Electrode

It is for welding open-root stainless joints w/o purge - 'backing gas'.  They've been working on them for at least 20 years, and so far nothing has gained any serious acceptance for Code work.

I'd like to find one that *actually* works as well as a so-so purge.  It would save a lot of time/money on big-bore pipe work.

RE: Purgeless Electrode

Try Miller RMD technology  GMAW    ASME core no purge required on chrome pipe or carbon.
