Illinois and California have SE license, what other states?

Illinois and California have SE license, what other states?

(OP)
What other states offer SE license aside from Illinois and California?

Most states only have PE license with Structural Branch.

RE: Illinois and California have SE license, what other states?

It is a simple question with a complicated answer. I found the attached on-line (I was not involved in its' creation) and it can be used as a good starting point to get the answer you desire. Also the attached document appears to be dated by a few years. As always contacting the individual state you are intrested in is the best solution.

Various states differentiate between title acts, partial practice acts, and full practice acts.  See the attached article for the different states under each category;  there are more states currently considering belonging to one of the above, but I don't have any current lists of those.

I think Hawaii and Alaska - but might be wrong.

Remember the ONLY state you need to have an SE is Illinois to do ANY structural work.

Some of the other states limit the work a PE can do.  I think CA you must have an SE to do hospitals, firehouses, and anything over 3 or 4 stories.  Something like that

But Illinois is the joke here since an architect can sign off on ANYTHING.

I live 20 miles from IL in St Louis and apparently the laws of physics and engineering change once you cross the might Mississippi River!!

Nevada.
