Ground Fault Protection for photovoltaic application

How the ground fault protection works in a 3MW photovoltaic DC/AC inverter
for industrial application connected to an utility ?

RE: Ground Fault Protection for photovoltaic application

Please see attached, hope that help.

Actually problem with monitoring of AC part between inverter switch in open position and step-up transformer, but possible add second monitoring with some additional logic ( only one monitor in operation)

Thanks Slavag

My understanding regarding ground (earth) Fault Protection for PV connected to utility (Iterative system in the USA) is that in the envent of a fault to earth, the inverter (or independent GFP device) will isolate the ground conductor but the PV arrays will continue generating power and feeding the fault without grounding (floating grounding mode).

Enclosed is an interesting article that may motivate others bringing more light to the subject.
