Pressure Vessel Nozzle FEA - Constraint Help

Pressure Vessel Nozzle FEA - Constraint Help

(OP)
I am looking at analysing a nozzle on a pressure vessel in solidworks simulaltion (Cosmos).  My attempts so far have resulted in unrealstic stresses / failed runs - my guess is this is down to being over constrained?? Can anyone provide some guidance as to how the model should be constrained.

Model is attached (SW 2009 version)...........

RE: Pressure Vessel Nozzle FEA - Constraint Help

You don't have any restraint set in the y direction. Your model is also missing a pressure balancing force at the flange.
