Assembly Navigator Settings

(OP)
I have configured my Assembly Navigator columns for a specific project in order to export to a spreadsheet, attributes to a BOM sheet.  This isn't the way I usually like to see my Assembly Navigator set-up and was wondering if I can save those column setting for later use and also to share with designers overseas so they also can export the attributes for a BOM sheet.
Thanks for your help

using NX 7.5.4.4 in a windows 7 64 bit environment

RE: Assembly Navigator Settings

I don't think there is a way to save what you want.
We tried to do the same thing here, and I believe on person called the GTAC, and couldn't find a way.
. . . but I hope I am wrong, and there is a way to do it.
Maybe there is a way to set them using a macro or journal.

RE: Assembly Navigator Settings

Spiritrider97,

(Very) unofficial answer...

(Disclaimer: editing the registry is done at your own risk)

The following is one, single line, command that can be run from a dos command shell window that will generate a file in the current directory that contains the NX ANT column configuration.

CODE

reg.exe export "HKCU\Software\Unigraphics Solutions\NX\7.5\General\ANT\Columns" nx75_ant_columns.reg

Copy the nx75_ant_columns.reg file to the desired computer.

HTH, Joe

While logged in as the "other" user AND while NX is NOT running, double click the file in Windows explorer to load the data so that it will be available during the subsequent NX sessions.
