BOM number help...

BOM number help...

(OP)
Is there a way to hide parts, and have the BOM ignore them?  I have a part in an assembly that I need to leave in the assembly, but I don't want it shown in the drawing, or counted/displayed in the BOM.  I have it hidden in the model, but when I hide or delete it from the BOM, the numbering show's a gap.  1,3,4,5...  Any thoughts?

thanks...

RE: BOM number help...

In the assembly model, right click on the component you don't want in the BOM, select "component properties", in the lower right corner check the box "exclude from Bill of materials".

the description in the assembly tree will show "(excluded from BOM)"

Thank you very much!

RE: BOM number help...

A great way to show your gratitude is to give a star!

Done.  I think.  Is there supposed to be a star showing somewhere?
