Is it possible to model composite beams in risa 3d that is concrete slab over steel beams with headed studs

RE: Risa 3D Help

Yes and no.

RISAFloor is the program where you can enter the studs and account for partial composite action.  That would give you code based deflections and code checks.

RISA-3D doesn't have anything like that. However, there is a section in the Modeling Tips section of hte help file which goes over using rigid links in combination with plate elements to get reasonable composite beam stiffness (for a fully composite beam).  No nearly as useful as the RISAFloor composite beams.  But, it's something.

RE: Risa 3D Help

You have to do it in RisaFloor.  And in my experience, RisaFloor is pretty awful compared to RAM. It just doesn't seem to be made for repetition and efficient output....and by efficient I mean the amount of time it takes you to get simple output that RAM can do in a blink of an eye.
