laser machine power output problem

laser machine power output problem

(OP)
Need some help. What do you think is the problem of laser machine that still running or continue cutting eventhough no power output appears on the monitor?

RE: laser machine power output problem

Broken monitor.
Laser ok.

Seriously, whatever is supposed to shut off or divert the beam is not doing its job, and the monitor is looking at something other than what's delivered to the workpiece.

Start at the system block diagram.
Keep your fingers out of the machine.

Do not stare into beam with remaining eye.

RE: laser machine power output problem

Laser power sensor failed?
But that indicates bigger problems because the system should not enable and the shutter should close if the power sensor fails.

You have a dangerous machine that is not 100% functional.  I was taught years ago one doesn't get a second chance with lasers.  Shutdown & LOTO the machine, call Service immediately.  Production will just have to wait.
