UNF-56

UNF-56

(OP)
We have to quote heat exchanger. Material is SB-127.
UNF-56 does not require PWHT for this material but client requires PWHT. Question is, at what temperature should PWHT be done? what should be the holding time? if the weld nominal thickness as defined in UW-40 is 45 mm and 30 mm (we have two exchangers).
Design Code is Section VIII Division 1.
Thanks in advance.

RE: UNF-56

Normally the variables for process defined PWHT are provided by the Clients.

If its not required as per ASME, I think you should ask your Client to provide these values or propose a plan similar to UNS N08800. He'll comment if he wants something different.
