NX7.5-Sheet Metal Shape

NX7.5-Sheet Metal Shape

(OP)
Hi,

I assume that Sheet Metal tool would accept only plane surfaces.
But I am not sure. Attached to this mesagge is a bracket.
I was wondering if it can be created(and unfolded) using Sheet Metal.
Thanks

RE: NX7.5-Sheet Metal Shape

No . . . but I think it can be done using "aerospace sheet metal".
"Sheet Metal" can only do press brake parts.

RE: NX7.5-Sheet Metal Shape

You can model this part using normal modeling techniques. Since this is a part that will most likely be made via Progressive Dies, you can use the One-Step-Formability function to flatten it (if you have the license). However, the flat will not be a solid body.
