DESIGN side mixer for diesel tank!

DESIGN side mixer for diesel tank!

(OP)
Hello to everybody!

I would like to ask for what ever kind of help about this theme!
I have task to DESIGN SIDE MIXER in the within tank for the diesel oil.The mixer must be axial propelere.

I WAS SEARCHING ABOUT THIS THEME EVERYWHER AND I DID NOT FOUND MOSTLY ANYTHING,only and just for the regular mixers.
(not side-lateral)

do you have some practicum about design or you know some sites about this!

THANK THANKS THANK IN ADVANCE :)

RE: DESIGN side mixer for diesel tank!

My company (Philadelphia Mixing Solutions) manufactures side entry mixers.  We usually use propellers and have covered many kinds of petroleum applications.

To perform a side entry sizing properly depends on the performance characteristics of the particular mixer and propeller system.  (Some designs are very efficient, some are not).  You'll need to know things like: are you performing blending or BS&W control, highest gravity of the fluid, viscosity, approximate bulk tank temperature, tank geometry, and location/number/elevation of access nozzles/manways.  Good sizing can make for major energy savings.

Sorry I don't have details in the process calculations because I handle the mechanical design of these mixers.

David
