New graduate, Where should I start my career for my dream?

New graduate, Where should I start my career for my dream?

(OP)
Hi,
I am graduating in this May with B.Eng Mechatronics in Canada. My long term life goal is working in a space industry.

My GPA isn't that great so I am not hoping to work for NASA or any big companies in the industry. I realize I need to gain some relevant experiences. I am an immigrant and have no family other then my parents who do general labour. I am pretty lost about how to start my life as an engineer graduate. I know I sound pretty stupid here but I really have no one to ask for advice...

Can anyone give me any advice?

Thank you,

RE: New graduate, Where should I start my career for my dream?

Where in Canada are you looking?

I'm from Winnipeg and we actually have a pretty good local aerospace industry. Bristol (space/defense), Boeing and Standard Aero (GT engine repair) all have plants here.

Mind you it is -40 C with the wind chill today...but if you're from Churchill that will seem tropical!

Brass monkeys...bears...pick your poison.

Regards,

SNORGY.
