Trim 8 & Trim 5

Trim 8 & Trim 5

Trim 8 & Trim 5

(OP)
my client requires gate valve with trim 8 with back seat bushing stellited for hydrogen rich service, but my manufacturer has supplied gate valve with trim 5. My manufacturer informs that trim 5 is superior to trim 8 & stelliting back seat bushing is part of trim 5. Can any one give me an idea how to handle this.

RE: Trim 8 & Trim 5

Is this the same client as in thread408-312726: Trim 8 & Trim 5?

I'm not sure that you're going to be able to convince them -- they ordered one thing, you supplied something different.  Even if Trim 8 is superior, if the client wants Trim 5 and specified Trim 5 in the contract that's what you're obligated to supply them.

About the only thing I could suggest is that you do a three-way call with you, your client and your manufacturer.  Let your manufacturer convince your client.
