NACE MRO175 vs MRO103

NACE MRO175 vs MRO103

(OP)
We are a valve manufacture that builds everything to order-not to stock.
We often get request for a specific material to MRO 0175 or MRO 0103 (and no mention of the year of the spec.)

Is there a summary available that states the difference between the two standards for:
316/316L and CF8M/CF3M
Hastelloy B and C grades

I see the max hardness and the chemistry requirment, but I am concerned I am missing something

RE: NACE MRO175 vs MRO103

rjung,
You are taking short-cut to save money or face;- either way, there are your customers looking up to you, for a solid technical advice. You are suppose to be the expert in MR0175 and MR0103, yet you are asking elementary questions. Do yourself a big favour and buy the damn standards. Read them twice and come back with many, many questions. We will help you become an expert to your customers. That is the real benefit for you joining the eng tips.
Cheers,
gr2vessels

A star for gr2vessels. Excellent advice.

RE: NACE MRO175 vs MRO103

A bit abusive though - could be a red flag more than a star (even though I appreciate the sentiment!)

When it comes to codes and standards one should not use the Coles Notes versions.
