NX CAM Courses/ Training and Post Processor Companies

(OP)
Hi,

I have taken the Siemens course "Introduction to NX for Experienced Users" this covers only the Cad side of the software.

What courses should I look into for the CAM side of NX 8.0 or 7.5?

I am currently programming with Mastercam X6 and we would like to switch to NX.

Also is there a list of companies that supplies post processors?

Thanks in advance!

Hockeyguy

Siemens has several courses on the Manufacturing applications.
You can also get on-line training at www.myigetit.com

As far as Post processors you can get them through Siemens and there are some other companies that allegedly supply them.  If I needed a post and could not develop it myself I would probably have Siemens create it for us.

RE: NX CAM Courses/ Training and Post Processor Companies

There is a library of free posts that may provide some examples. Go to Help --> Online Technical Support --> Download NC Postprocessor.

In NX, there are some CAM tutorials OOTB to get you started. Go to Help --> Manufacturing Tutorials.

After that, we offer the 3-5 day classes, depending on what kinds of parts you program.

If you are going to write or maintain your own posts, take the Post Building Techniques class - no question about that.
