NICET level I

NICET level I

(OP)
Hi, everybody. I'm a graduate student doing my master's in transportation and I'll be graduated this may,2012. I've evaluated my BS in Civil engineering degree from globe language center because it was a foreign degree. I'm having a question in my mind that, Do I need to take the test for NICET level I? or how can I get the certificate. Any replies will be appreciated.

RE: NICET level I

Why would you want to?  You are going backward.  NICET is a certification for engineering technicians.  You will be an intern engineer, hopefully working toward professional licensure.  The NICET certification would have little or no value unless the only thing you want to do is be a field technician doing testing or inspection work...even then, the engineering license is better.

RE: NICET level I

Exactly.  You need to take the "Fundamentals of Engineering" or FE exam.  To learn more about FE exam and later the PE exam go to the following:

Also search online for "your sate" engineers board, for example, if you live in New York state, "NY engineers board"
