Plotting Model Maximum values vs time

Plotting Model Maximum values vs time

Plotting Model Maximum values vs time

(OP)
Hello,

I would like to be able to plot model maximum values (e.g. maximum stress, maximum displacement) versus time in an XYdata chart/curve. So far I have found no model maximum values in the Field or History output options. For instance the Max Mises field output option requires a specific element to be selected, and if you select multiple it generates a chart for each different element. Is there a way to create either a field or history output for the model maximum?

Thanks.

RE: Plotting Model Maximum values vs time

You can make this plot by generating XY data for all the elements in the area you are interested in and then using the Max Envelope tool to pull out the max value for time, but I don't think there is a more direct way (there should be though). If you find an easier way, please let me know.
