in our company we are treating condensate by activated carbon,a few months ago we charged new media in filter.after rinsing sample checked it give massive quantity of silica. we strat rinsing on daily basis.silica become down and then rise. why silical coming in activated carbon? regards

If you operate a specific treatment with a rated activated carbon, you should know what's in it. It could be that you got a wrong batch/grade change or it comes naturally with the grade and you never noticed the silica before.
A far fetched explaination would be to have had some silica perls to keep the AC dry during transport/storage, and they were not removed - I don't think that plausible however.
