Convert tags to text

I don't want tags, I want text!

I have a set of .dxf files from ACAD 14. Microstation "effortlessly" opened these files which I've thus saved as .dgn files. IPLOT, however, doesn't want to print text tags, which, argh!, are how some of the text (critical) came out as tags.

I've searched and searched and searched and the only solution is to re-type the text in question.

Unless there is another way.

Thanks in advance!

RE: Convert tags to text

Dave,
Did you do a burst on all the tags in AutoCAD, before the import/ translation to MicroStation?
MicroStation might be changing the text to a font not apart of IPLOT's "font.rsc" file.
I would do a global chnage to the working font style. before plotting with IPLOT.  Try that.

Well...

I received the .dxf files from an outside source; I have no access to AutoCAD proper. I'm exploring the resource files now. Doesn't seem to be a difference. And the working font isn't changing it. Darn! Well, it looks like all that will work is retyping the text that won't print. Shoot!
