AISI 4340 Grade Bolts

AISI 4340 Grade Bolts

(OP)
Gentlemen,

I have a design that specifies Grade 10.9 Anchor bolts which are very difficult to source here in the middle east. If you know of someone in the middle east that can supply them that would be very helpful. In lieu of that, my contractor can supply AISI 4340 grade bolts which appears to be equivalent in strength. This grade is mentioned in ASTM A320.  But for the life of me I cannot find the standard AISI 4340. I tried to buy it online and could not find it. Any one know where I can get a copy?  Also, any thoughts on substituting AISI 4340 bolts for grade 10.9 would be helpful.

Thanks!

Forrest Lowell
