Can any one advise if the valve in the attached drawing is with SPLIT WEDGE.

RE: Please advise if the valve in the attached drawing is with SPLIT WEDGE

No it does not look like a "Split Wedge"

RE: Please advise if the valve in the attached drawing is with SPLIT WEDGE

From the drawing  it seems that the wedge is solid, connected to stem with threads and secured by nuts, no movable parts: eg. NOT split wedge.

Go to this website: http://www.mastewart.com/pdf/BF-CSValves.pdf
and look at page 8.  You will see a drawing of a valve ,a Flex Wedge (Flexible Wedge) and the following note.

12. WEDGE. The wedge is part of the trim. It is forged stainless steel for diameters up to 6" and in cast steel for larger valves. It is normally supplied as the flexible wedge type. It is connected to the stem by means of a T joint. The guides on each side of the wedge are machined. Special attention is given to the seating surfaces which are ground and lapped.

You should also contact ALL of you normal Valve vendors and ask them to supply you with technical drawing and specifications for all of the valves you currently use or plan to use in the future.

Many thanks to pennpiper (Mechanical)& gerhardl (Mechanical) for your valuable guidance.

Further, please inform if parallel slide gate valve is similar to split wedge gate valve. What is the difference. Can we offer parallel slide gate valve if split wedge gate valve is specified.

First, my apologies for not answering your last 3questions.
Questions:
1) "Further, please inform if parallel slide gate valve is similar to split wedge gate valve?"
2) "What is the difference?"
3) "Can we offer parallel slide gate valve if split wedge gate valve is specified?"

Answers:
1) No they are not similar.
2) You need to get copies of the drawings of both valves and study them.
3) No, If your Client asked for the Split-wedge then you have an obligation to supply the Split-wedge.
