DraftSight Upgrade VV1R1.3

(OP)
I have downloaded several times and installed on my computer. It takes 3min and 10-15 seconds to get program loaded, then it may lock up or not. Have posted to SolidWorks but have not received any help.
Computer is:SYX Venture VXP3D
            8GB Mem
             Win 7 Pro 64bit

RE: DraftSight Upgrade VV1R1.3

Why are you posting to SolidWorks? Draftsight is a Dassault product.
You should be asking at https://swym.3ds.com/#supportcenter/draftsight

That being said, Draftsight takes about 18 seconds to load on my XPx32 system with a C2D 3Ghz CPU & 4GB Ram.
Are any errors reported during installation?
When it doesn't lock up, does Draftsight behave normally?
Does other software take a long time to load?
Is the system stable when running other (especially graphics) software?
Are you attached to a network?

RE: DraftSight Upgrade VV1R1.3

On my system it takes 5 seconds to load and then about another 3-6 seconds to load a drawing depending on complexity. My machine is an XP, with 2.13 GHz clock speed, and 3.43 GB of RAM.

The toolbar shows that the DraftSight I just opened is number 12, after ACAD LT, Internet Explorer with five tabs, Adobe Reader, and several Explorer windows. The graphics card is NVIDIA Quadro 4000.

This system works very well to have many windows open at the same time.
