SW Explorer search speed

My search speed is VERY slow.
Any tips how to make it faster?
When I want to rename a part, the where used search takes about 20 minutes.
Thanks.

RE: SW Explorer search speed

Restrict the Search Paths to folders which are known to use the parts. If you don't know where the parts are used you are pretty much SOL.

Have you fully indexed the SW folders? That is supposed to decrease search times.

Thanks CBL.
I have restricted the search paths to my local drive.
For some reason it still searches all drives, including the server.
When I try to fully index folders, I get some errors indicating there are errors indexing. The errors are vague.
I will try again when back to the office on Tuesday. I will try to get screen shots of the errors then.
