Thermal Resistance Network in ANSYS?

Thermal Resistance Network in ANSYS?

Thermal Resistance Network in ANSYS?

(OP)
Dear Colleagues,

Is is possible to create a "thermal resistance network" in an ANSYS Mechanical/APDL model?

The system I am trying to model requires general thermo-structural FEA analysis of the main hardware components. However, the system also contains one small but very complicated component which can only be tractably modelled using a thermal resistance network.

Is there an element type that can be used to model thermal resistance independent of the physical length of the element?

It seems that a thermal resistance network can be created in ANSYS Icepack, but unfortunately this software is not available to me.

Any thoughts you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
