Part Refuses to Move

Part Refuses to Move

Part Refuses to Move

(OP)
This may be a silly question but it's been causing me all sorts of trouble today. I opened up an assembly that includes another assembly part (solar panel). I've gotten rid of all constraints, but I still can't move the solar panel. When I try to, the entire part becomes red. Any way to fix this?

RE: Part Refuses to Move

First off, what version of NX are you running?  Have you looked at the Assembly Navigator and does it truly show that there are NO constraints applied to any of the components?  When you say "another assembly part" are you talking about a sub-assembly which is made-up of more than one Component itself?

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

RE: Part Refuses to Move

Dimsh2000,

Perhaps this is due to "Move Component, Settings, Collision Detection, Collision Action" set to "Highlight Collision" or "Stop Before Collision"? (as opposed to "None")
