Certification Guidelines for Heave Compensation Offshore Cranes

Certification Guidelines for Heave Compensation Offshore Cranes

(OP)
I have a current design requirement for a heave compensation system on a articulating boom crane. I have done a quick review of API 2C but do not have that "warm puppy feeling" on the detailed requirements on this type of crane (heave compensated).
I have seen other threads that relate to the vessel dynamic systems but have not been able to tie down any standards (ABS, DNV, Lloyds ETC that address this particular design. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Again, I am not concerned with any element which refers to the vessel heave compensation system just the compensation installed on the crane itself.
