Hi.

How can I build a laminate in Ansys?

RE: Composite with Ansys

U can use shell and solid elements to model a laminate. In case if you are using a shell element, there are two options to build a laminate, either use real constants set or use Main menu/pre processor/sections/lay up -- to give the layup orientation, thickness information. you can use either of these options to build a laminate. Well you need to chose only those which are compatible for laminates, like shell 91,99,181 or solid 46, solid 281 etc...

Hope this information will work ....
