Joining 2 MV Swichboards
Joining 2 MV Swichboards
(OP)
Hello everyone!
Could You help me regarding where to find information how to join two 20kV MV boards thru bustie breaker? The connection would be between a new switchboard and an existing old board. Bustie breaker available in the new board. The joining would most probably have to be with MV cables, taking load up to 2000A Distance is only around 10m between the MV boards. New part bustie cubicle able to handle at most 6 400mm2 / phase, yet no data regarding old board.
I have been trying to look for material / instructions regarding placing sequence of cables on cable ladders etc (assume trefoil placement)
Hope You could advice where to find information regarding cabling layout etc. Also general advices very welcome.

As for 2000A @ 20kV. I would first be looking to use bus duct.

I should propose Duresca system or cable-bus system.

Sorry for my writing beeing not too good. The intention is to ask for short advice, not any complete engineering solution. In my opinion always good to ask advice from the more experienced guys.
The problem is real at hand and seems it has to be tackled, after new MV board installed close to existing one.
Many thanks Zanoter4 for the information!
