Placing a fence in a 3D seed file

Placing a fence in a 3D seed file

Placing a fence in a 3D seed file

(OP)
Can someone tell me what variable or what setting needs to be set for the fence to hold its position in a 3D seed file? I try to place a "shaped fence" and begin to pan around, when I come full circle the fence is no longer there.
When I'm in "Project Architect" by "Intergraph" the fence holds its shape like it would in a 2D seed file.
Any thoughts?

Still looking for direction on this ....
Any thoughts?

RE: Placing a fence in a 3D seed file

In Microstation Versions J and later there is no feature to maintain a fence in a 3D file when you pan around.  Microstation V8 has added the "fence persistance" as they call it to 3D files.

RE: Placing a fence in a 3D seed file

Yeah I heard that V8 has this capability.
But I'm in "J" with "Intergraph's Project Architect" and I'm able to do the "fence persistance" as they call it.

So my logic dictates that some variables must be added or turned on to enable it in MicroStation J.

I've called the support expert for the product with no luck!

But thanks anyway!
