Definition of material of tube by flow?

Definition of material of tube by flow?

Definition of material of tube by flow?

(OP)
Kindly I ask for my friends of this forum.
I'm studing about how define the material of pipe by inner flow?

What procedures are used? I consider the variables, pressure, temperature, flow, and concepts of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics! OK.
As an example: Using a chemical compatibility chart, could see the material (which would be the table, or formula Appreciated by guests for this)? And under pressure, ASME B31.1 and B31.3 I have the formula for thick tubes. However, over the chemistry and temperature when the variable is involved? Use (A Gr.P1 335) or (A Gr.P12 335)? By ASTM have the table of chemical equivalence, such as C 0.08%, 2% Mg, etc.. To define precisely the most suitable material for the tube? Any table, book, file, text, video, informations is welcome, and I will tanks for you very much.

RE: Definition of material of tube by flow?

Selection of materials is based on service conditions; i.e., pressure, temperature, internal fluid and the corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of the alloy in service. ASM Metals Handbooks provide much information in this regard.

A plug for someone who shares my name but doesn't share any royalties [actually I have no idea who he is]:

Perry's Chemical Engineering Handbook has material compatibility information for select services.
