Vibe mounting an Oscillator.......Help.....

Vibe mounting an Oscillator.......Help.....

Vibe mounting an Oscillator.......Help.....

(OP)
Greetings!
I am attempting to mount an oscillator inside a receiver and need some sort of attachment device that can dampen vibration.  The spec is 12g random in the Z axis to the osc board. The osc assembly weighs approx 35 grams and is 2"x2"x.5". there is approx 3/8" clearance top and bottom for mounts.
I have seen numerous mounting systems, but alas, they are for much heavier equipment and structures.
BTW, this is a military job.
Got lots of good rf and mircowave engineers here, but nobody with any vibe mounting experience.
Thanks lots!!!
jeff

Try double studded Vibration Isolators. Examples are at the above site.

Another method is mount a metal sleeved grommet in your  mounting plate then install your mounting screw through it. The sleeve should be approx. 0.050" shorter than the through hole length for compression. Examples are at the above site.

I have used both methods for mounting vibration sensitive components in Military Radio Systems.
