Make block

Make block

(OP)
Hi,how do I make a Block?

I´m trying to make
blocks so revision notes ("Issued for construction" etc.)can easily be inserted.

And where shall I save the blocks?

Yes, it works fine smile

RE: Make block

What about using a note instead of a block? I assume you are working in the drafting environment.

You can save note in the annotation command.

RE: Make block

I would also like to do this.

Do I use "Callout" or "Text" from the Annotaion section on the ribband.

Thanks...

RE: Make block

I have used a table to generate drawing revisions in draft.
It can easilly be updated to add rows and columns.

I´ve tried with callout, but I am not satisfied.

Before I put in the text i do not want to have unused lines or rows.

When I put in text REV A, REV B and so on I will have lines and rows around the text.

RE: Make block

In that case either a table, or you may be better doing it in the background sheet as part of the drawing template - that's how we do rev block, in the background sheet, adding rows as needed, using just text blocks not callout.  The rest of the border is put on a layer that's locked, you could do similar with blocks.

Not saying that's optimum though.

RE: Make block

Thanks Kenat.
I have entered all my standard notes and given them names that I can recall them by.
It works great....cheers
