Bonus tools in 2000

Bonus tools in 2000

(OP)
Hello everyone

I have two questions:

1.  How do i get the bonus tools that were in Autocad 14, into Autocad 2000?  Or are they a general command in 2000?

2.  Is there a way to trim a something in a block w/o exploding-->trimming-->then reinserting it into the drawing again?

Thanks for any sugestions
Juice

RE: Bonus tools in 2000

refedit for blocks and xrefs

and

Bonus tools were included in R2000 as Express tools

RE: Bonus tools in 2000

The old bonus tools are now express tools and Autodesk would like you to pay for them now (over $100).

1. I've upgraded to Acad 2002 & Map 5 and was looking for the bonus/express tools also.  Try here http://www.tbaug.com/Main-web/lsp_files.htm

2. I'm not sure about Acad 2000 (I jumped from 14 to 2002), but in 2002 you can select entities in a block and us them for trimming/extending.  Many of the express tools are built into 2002.

Hope this helps,
SEMott

RE: Bonus tools in 2000

Have you tried typing "expresstools" at the command prompt?

RE: Bonus tools in 2000

Dear Juice,
For your second question I would like to inform you that you can modify any object in a block using the REFEDIT command (The complementary command REFCLOSE is required).
