Connecting Solid Nonl Instance to Rigid Beam

Connecting Solid Nonl Instance to Rigid Beam

Connecting Solid Nonl Instance to Rigid Beam

(OP)
Hi,
i am trying to simplify my model. I would like to connect to parts of column. The upper part is solid and nonl, the lower is rigid beam (wire). What is the easiest way to do it. I tried with different types constraints but I am getting errors abou inactive dof all the time.
I would like that the section at the bottom of the solid part acts like rigid body (rigid plate) and that the center point of the plate is tied to the top of the lower part-rigid beam.
Thanks,
