Asphalt and Fuel Price Adjustments for NJ DOT

Asphalt and Fuel Price Adjustments for NJ DOT

Asphalt and Fuel Price Adjustments for NJ DOT

(OP)
Does anyone know about Asphalt and Fuel Price Adjustments for New Jersey DOT

When using the Asphalt and Fuel Price Adjustments for estimating purposes can be calculated with the Fuel and Asphalt Price Adjustment Spreadsheet. The DENSE GRADED AGGREGATE BASE COURSE, 6" THICK (SY) has a G value (Fuel Usage Factor) of 1.0 and the DENSE GRADED AGGREGATE BASE COURSE, __" THICK (SY) on Table 160.03.01-1 has a Fuel Usage Factor of 0.30 Gallon per Square Yard per Inch, which would calculate to Fuel Usage Factor to (6" x 0.30 =) 1.80. What G value should be used for Dense Graded Aggregate Base Course for 5" thickness?

Also, the Asphalt Price Adjustment Spreadsheet does not allow items less than 500 gallons for fuel price adjustment amount, but I don't see anything in the NJ DOT Specifications for Road & Bridge Construction, Section 160 – Price Adjustments, stating this. If an item is less than 500 gallons for is it not eligible for a Fuel Price Adjustment?
