SYNCHRONOUS MODELING - MOVE FACE

SYNCHRONOUS MODELING - MOVE FACE

SYNCHRONOUS MODELING - MOVE FACE

(OP)
Just finised using Move Face a couple times, and I noticed it left behind a coordinate system for each use.  Is this normal, or did I do something different?   Thanks.

RE: SYNCHRONOUS MODELING - MOVE FACE

What version of NX are you using and what options did you use within the move face command?

RE: SYNCHRONOUS MODELING - MOVE FACE

(OP)
Sorry about that.

I should have mentioned that I'm using NX6.

I rotated a face using the Angle motion and I moved a face using the Distance motion.

Don't see any options, but under the settings tab I see Use Face Finder checked.

Thanks.

RE: SYNCHRONOUS MODELING - MOVE FACE

No it's not normal - but I'll do some digging when I get a chance to see what could be causing this.

RE: SYNCHRONOUS MODELING - MOVE FACE

I would save my work and reboot. If that doesn't fix it, perhaps a call to GTAC.

This came up a while back:
thread561-273690: NX6 COORDINATE SYSTEMS
The thread gets completely derailed at tryitagain's post. No real solution to be had, though.

RE: SYNCHRONOUS MODELING - MOVE FACE

I' think this was a bug in early releases of NX6. I remember seeing this behavior and then having it magically go away at some point with the installation of a maintenance release. I'm pretty sure that your problem will be solved if you upgrade to the latest MR and MP.

NX 7.5.4.4, NX 8.0(Evaluating)
Tecnomatix Quality 8.0.1.3
