2011 slow to save dwgs or models

2011 slow to save dwgs or models

2011 slow to save dwgs or models

(OP)
We moved across the street due to remodling. We finally got network speeds working pretty good. Everything was fine for a week. All of the sudden, anything I try to save to the network is taking 5 to ten minutes. Even a small dwg that was saving fast last week is now taking forever. I tried it again early this morning before the network had time to get too many people working on it. Just wondering if anyone can shed light on what is going on.
thanks

RE: 2011 slow to save dwgs or models

I have had this problem from our network at my work.  Do you use  Enterprise PDM?

I think your best option is try copying the files to your local machine make a change and save the file.  If you see a similar slow down you can assume its your computer or software slowing things down.  If not then your network is not as fast as you need.

Have your facilities guys move the data cables away from the power cables.
