LIMITAION OF WRC297

LIMITAION OF WRC297

LIMITAION OF WRC297

(OP)
WHAT IS THE LIMITATION OF WRC 297,WHEN TO USE WRC 297 FOR NOZZLE LOAD CALCULATION

RE: LIMITAION OF WRC297

First off, I understand there is a new WRC document that replaces WRC 297.

That being the case, the foreword of WRC 297 discusses the design assumptions and the limitations of the design.  There are limitations on the thickness ranges, nozzle sizes relative to the vessel, etc.  Actually working with a paper copy of WRC 297 is very cumbersome, as it requires reading numerous values off charts, interpolating and interpolating those values, etc., and is rather slow and tedious.

RE: LIMITAION OF WRC297

READ YOUR COPY OF WRC 297. IT WILL TELL YOU

Also, operation of the "Caps Lock" key is something you should become familiar with

RE: LIMITAION OF WRC297

venkat,
This forum has tons of information on WRC 297. Type in WRC 297 in the search box in the top of this page and start reading the previously discussed identical topic and related topics. Come back with specific questions or clarifications, but also read the buletin to have a basic idea of what to ask.
Cheers,
