Tips on modelling in Abaqus

Tips on modelling in Abaqus

(OP)
Can anybody confirm (Corus?) how to apply loads on a multiple surfaces in an axis symetric model in Abaqus.

I am trying to press control key and select the surfaces, but not able to do it? Is there any different way of selecting multiple surfaces.

Thanks

RE: Tips on modelling in Abaqus

The ctrl button deselects surfaces, the shift button selects surfaces, as far as I remember. For quick ways of selection then drag over the regions you want and then manually use the deslect  button to remove unwanted surfaces. You can enhance the drag selection by choosing from the options of whether you want to include surfaces that are wholly inside the region/overlapping or whatever. In addition there is an option to say whether you want to include cells or surfaces or vertices etc.
